Back in June of 2022, I personally started a channel along with my business partner that was focused solely on tech content. We started to upload tutorial based content and content that ranks on search. We realized that we could find video ideas and position ourselves in front of our ideal customers with our tutorial content and so that’s what we did.
Our main goal with this channel was to create a proven system that we can use for ourselves and later on for our clients. Our sole mission here was to prove to ourselves that the strategy that we created works not only in theory but also in practice. We already know how SEO content positioning works but we didn’t have much experience so this was one of our biggest projects to this date and it turned out to be massively successful.
The first thing that we did is we found key problems and issues that our ideal customers and audience had and we started to extract their pain points and write down ideas. From there we started a keyword research process to see which ideas that we found previously were low competition.
So essentially what we were doing is we:
We used YouTube search along with some third party tools like VidiQ to see:
The demand (how many people are searching for a particular keyword monthly)
Competition (how many people are recording a video on these topics)
Views per hour (once we found a video, we saw if this video is still generating views per hour, if it did that means we found a perfect video we can use for our channel).
We found that content positioning was one of the most important parts of our strategy as this is crucial for generating views that have an “issue” which we solved with each video we put out. This was our main focus during these 10 months of posting content.
The best part about our content strategy is that it doesn’t matter if you are in “tech” niche or not, this works for every single niche out there because every single niche has “SEO” driven keywords aka video ideas that people search every single day on YouTube to find solutions to their problems, that’s what YouTube is for at the end of the day.
For the first few months our plan was to just gather some data and to understand which videos perform well. We didn’t start with promoting products until October of 2023 which was a mistake on our end. We realized that if we started sooner we would experience more growth in revenue and we would’ve scaled much faster. This is one of the lessons that we also applied to some of our recent clients and saw incredible results.
Our digital product positioning strategy was about 3 key things:
Subtle promotion of our product (at the start or end of the video) - this made sure that our audience knows that we have a product and that this product will help them with their ideal outcome.
Adding a link inside a video description (we didn’t just add the link but we’ve also tracked how many people are clicking on the link and which video has the most link clicks, with this we understood the data and which videos performed the best (in terms of link clicks).
Based on this we knew what videos to post next. Once we realized this, we focused on generating the views over time, getting people to click our link and visit our landing page and converting them into customers, simple as that, and it worked really well.
We scaled one of our digital products from $129.58 in the first month of promoting it to $2,437.20 per month in just 4 months from starting this strategy. Later we applied this strategy to multiple different videos and it worked even better. Now we are generating anywhere from $7K per month to $10K per month for this single product that we offer on our channel.
Now that we positioned our content in front of our ideal customers, generated views daily and were selling our digital product it was time to maintain the growth trajectory of our channel. This was another crucial step that was really simple.
What we did is we:
Once we had a proven and predictable system it was time to completely remove ourselves from this project and manage it all to grow it even further. Today this channel is generating multiple 6 figures yearly and we are expanding our products even more. Our goal is to still keep the channel going and optimize it as time goes on to make sure we are on the right track.
Since this was a really great case study for us, this channel also became a testing ground for our client ideas to make sure we are providing our clients with the best possible ideas so that they can do the same.
The best part about results is that we did not follow “traditional” YouTube strategy to achieve these results.
We did not go viral.
We didn’t copy Mr.Beast or other big YouTubers.
We didn’t create high-production quality videos.
We didn’t hard sell every video.
We simply followed a formula that worked for us and that works for every small - medium size YouTuber.
You don’t have to go big to earn big, you simply need to target a “niche” that has a problem and needs a “solution”.
Your content needs to be a solution.
10 months later we achieved:
The best part about it is that this is not LUCK, it’s simply creating the first few videos, listening to the data, following it and refining the strategy day by day. It’s simple but it’s not easy but this is what anyone can do from the comfort of their own home, all you need is to solve specific problem to specific people with your content.
Our results are driven by the YMA sales funnel, as we like to call it. YouTube Model Accelerator sales funnel is a term that we coined as a part of our results that we achieved over this 10 month period. This is exactly the same approach that we are using today for our clients in our accelerator program.
We’ve done this now several times and applied the same strategy to our clients as well. This system is evergreen, meaning that in whatever niche you are in, you will be able to achieve a very similar result because everything revolves around real data and SEO based keywords and of course content that helps people with a certain problem or issue, this is the core part of our YMA process.
Since we wanted to specialize with who we are working with and since we saw a lot of demand in the coaching and info-product space we are now opening 2 spots this month to work with anyone who has a coaching business, course business or info-product business. This is a great fit for already semi-established coaches that have some revenue but want to double it with the help of our YouTube funnel. If this is you, book a call below or via this link to join the YMA program.
